These are the main ethics firstly outlined by Bill Mollison. The 3 Ethics of permaculture are
- Earth care
- People care
- Fair share
Earth care
Earth care is to give our planet something better in return. Getting the abundance in food and water. Taking care of the earth by using self-sustaining methods. Reducing our carbon footprint and producing zero waste in process. Minimalistic approach will be a win win situation in permaculture farming.

People care
People care is to enjoy the gifts mother nature presents us. Also to include other people to share these gifts. Healthy and secure thriving happy communities will benefit all of us. Affecting our overall mentality in many ways and perspectives for betterment.
People Care |
Fair share
Giving the fair share to everyone and everything. Contributing your part to the other communities. Making equity among the people. Also giving back to the planet, restoring the natural form of the earth. Using the methods that do not destroy the soil and nature but it reproduces by applying natural methods.
Some permaculturist also elaborate this ethic as "setting limits to population and consumption" from its original meaning.
